Saturday, May 14, 2005Gagak ShootingLast weekend, when I left the hospital on Saturday, I heard a lot of gun shots from all over the hospital compound. Sounded like a mini-war zone. I later found out that those people were shooting gagak (crows). I guess they are called gagak because they often emit this irritating ga..ga..gak.. sound. Anyway, as both CN- and I have grumbled about before, Klang is simply infested with crows, especially within the hospital compound. Every evening, hundreds of crows perch themselves on treetops, lamp posts, rooftops etc. They shit all over the place and occasionally fly about in circles like a bunch of bats circling a haunted mansion. A few days later, I noticed a banner at the entrance of the hospital advertising this gagak shootout. Those who were interested were required to apply to join this "event", organised by the hospital? Well, I suppose it is a fast way to reduce the number of crows instantly, and that there will be minimal crows the next few days as the survivors would probably warn the rest of the clan to stay away from the hospital until all is safe. However, one week down the line, the crows are back. Almost as much as before. Goes to prove the point that if you don't address the underlying problem, the problem per se will never be resolved...and you'll be back to square one :P # scribbled by j e l l i o ` at 5/14/2005 06:42:00 PM
