"A newly discovered clotting factor, also known as clotting factor XXIV/VII, essential in the prevention of massive haemorrhage and hematemesis due to complications of the Medical School Syndrome (MSS)"
Sunday, May 01, 2005Queer sights on the highwaySince this is gonna be a long weekend, there is a mass movement of homo sapiens from KL to their respective hometowns either up north or down south the "tapioca" of Malaysia. As always, this is well reflected in the congested North-South highway. Even the emergency lane was clogged up. The usual me would have complained about the traffic, the people, the highway lanes, the weather, the heat, the delay - EVERYTHING. Fortunately I was too tired to notice the jam. Instead I dozed off even before we reached the toll. After a big lunch, I slept like a satisfied pig snuggled in the backseat, enjoying both music and the cool air blowing from the air-cond. After few trips to Dreamland, I finally couldn't sleep anymore. Then I sat up and joined my 2 friends complaining and cursing the jam. Soon we got tired of that as well. That's when we started noticing some interesting vehicles, people and animals... >A motorbike skillfully squeezed itself in between 2 lanes lined up with cars and other bigger vehicles. He had a eye-catching helmet on his head. It has 2 bright red horns projecting from both sides of the upper surface. He lacked a tail and a spear though. (Sorry I don't know if the Devil Helmet is on sale anywhere in Malaysia) >It was nearly as hot as the desert when a white Kancil slid by. Its windscreen wipers were frantically moving left and right... perhaps clearing away imaginary rain. Or maybe that was a modern way of "praying for rain". >A Pajero packed with what we thought were giants cruised by. Their heads were touching the ceiling and the entire vehicle resembled a rectangular tin of sardine. The driver were bent over the steering wheel looking as if he was ready to prance and break the glass, take flight and sweep over the cars lined ahead of him. >We then saw a mutated car. I have no idea what that car is but it didn't look cute or ugly. It wasn't futuristic either. It's plain W.E.I.R.D. I dunno how to describe its cacat-ed shape but trust me, it's the kind that turn heads coz it's so freaking weird, not elegant. >Then came a huge truck from the opposite direction. It was an ordinary looking one but it wasn't carrying neither humans nor goods. There were almost 15 cows on board. And the poor cows were sandwiched between one another. They weren't mooing for help and I wonder what they'd do if they wanted to poo. They were probably cursing the traffic too and thought they could get to their destination faster on "foot". With entertaining scenes like the above and a bunch of friends whom I can joke with about anything under the sun, the jam became a lot more tolerable. Yeah, I survived the horrible traffic and reached home safely to blog this for you :p # scribbled by cyAnide at 5/01/2005 12:16:00 AM
